Great set for everyone, not just beginners

I've been wanting to add a set of timber chisels to my tool collection for a long work and finally purchased this set from Mr. Kuashige. When I received this I was very impressed with the overall quality of every one of the chisels, especially the steel. They are a mixed set of various blacksmiths. I think these were left over from other full sets that Mr. Kurashige put together into a complete set and marked it down as a "beginner's" set. I actually liked that fact it was a mixed set since it gave me a chance to experience the work of various blacksmiths. In the end it is the quality of the steel and workmanship that makes a good chisel, not whether they all look the same. If you can live with the chisels not all matching, then this set is a great value. I wouldn't consider this a beginner's set, but rather a mixed set of professional grade chisels being sold at a beginner's price and would recommend these to anyone. I will be looking at more "beginner's" set in the future since I had a good experience with this one. As an aside, Mr. Kurashige has slowly become my 'go to' source for quality Japanese tools. Many professional Japanese woodworking tool shops don't ship outside of Japan. Luckily, Mr. Kurashige has been kind enough to open his store to the world at large. Thank you for making your tools available to everyone.
