5 Bu is a good size for square peg holes if one is adding pins to tenons. I ended up using this chisel for other work as well since it offers excellent leverage and cuts through yellow cedar with ease. I am going to look into picking up 8 and 12-14 bu as well. The white oak handle is particularly pleasing.

5 Bu is a good size for square peg holes if one is adding pins to tenons. I ended up using this chisel for other work as well since it offers excellent leverage and cuts through yellow cedar with ease. I am going to look into picking up 8 and 12-14 bu as well. The white oak handle is particularly pleasing.
