all I could ask for

Be forewarned that this is far from being ready to accept a blade. The opening would only accept a blade about 6mm thick and it was narrower than any of my blades, also. That being said it is a wonderful piece of wood to start from and it only took a couple hours of careful hand work to be able to start fitting the blade. I now have to give several months to acclimate to Arizona for final turning
