A little touch up on a plate of glass with some 220 grit took these stones to uniform. I look forward to years of service from them. One must flatten the backs of their cutting edges to truly work sharp.
This is the first professional diamond stone that I own and have to say that makes the flattening and/or sharpening process so more simple, compared to other methods.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I bought #1000 and used it, and bought #3000 right away.
These are the fastest cutting stones that I have used (I have trend diamond plates
and many other stones including Naniwa) They are not cheap but worth the price. Yamasuke Kurashige tools delivered to Austria very quickly. I made the mistake of not ordering the stones at at the same time. but I wanted to try one out first. I was so impressed with how they worked I ordered 5 in total. 800 followed by 3000 gave a mirror finish. The Nagura stone delivered seems to be the same grit for all of the stones and to me seemed too coarse for the 6000 stone (maybe naniwa can comment on this) The price from Yamasuke was the best I found on the web. I am very happy with my purchases from this shop and would like to thank them. Andrew Mazurkiewicz
